WHY A SEAWIND
ASK A QUESTION

Having now launched well over 600 Seawinds, we stand by the quality of our product and are proud to say that not one boat has ever suffered a rig failure nor have we ever experienced a capsize. Seawinds are built on a track record of success and we continue to learn, refine and improve with every boat launched.

RELIABILITY FIRST & FOREMOST

SUPERIOR MONOCOQUE STRUCTURE

Featuring the latest modular composite construction techniques. The vinylester-infused fibreglass hulls have modular furniture units that greatly increase hull stiffness and strength. These units incorporate all of the internal surfaces you see when inside the cabins, including the floors, bulkheads, beds and even seating, benches and cupboards. The entire unit is both glued and fiberglassed into the hull producing an incredibly stiff monocoque construction. Compare this to boats built with pre-kitted timber work which looks nice, but ads zero structure to the build. This is the major reason a Seawind is stiffer than all other production boats, a characteristic which offers safety but also prevents those annoying creaks and groans often found in production boats.

ADVANCED CONSTRUCTION METHODS

Our designs are further strengthened by composite bulkheads being fully glued AND fiber-glassed into the hull and deck structures, an additional process skipped by most production builders. Not only are all bulkheads glassed in, the entire hull to deck join is also internally laminated, adding an additional level of stiffness and security. Seawind has NEVER experienced a hull deck join failure. In addition to all of this reinforcement, our belts and braces approach also has us fabricate foam cored laminate panels for use in all internal dividers and shelving, again all fiber-glassed into place adding a third tier of additional reinforcement. Pull apart any modern Seawind, you wont find any plywood used in the structure of our boats. This methodology effectively forms a grid structure of high quality composite panels along our hull sides, making Seawinds one of the toughest cruising catamarans on the water today.
